Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information may be processed when you visit temnik.com, how optional analytics and advertising measurement work, and how you can control those choices.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

1. Who operates this site

temnik.com is operated by Egor Temnik. The site presents the book God and the auditor, BOIS-related materials, MaOS, and related public work.

For privacy questions or requests, letters, proposals, or other direct correspondence, email admin@temnik.com. You can also read more about the site operator on the About page. Please avoid posting sensitive personal information in public comments or public social-media threads.

2. Information processed when you visit or contact us

01

Essential operation

Tilda and infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as request data, IP address, browser or device information, and essential cookies used for security and site operation.

02

Analytics, if you allow it

Google Analytics may measure page views, navigation, referral information, device or browser information, and site events. This includes clicks on the book download buttons when analytics measurement is enabled.

03

Advertising, if you allow it

Google advertising services and Meta Pixel may process page visits, advertising interactions, browser or device identifiers, and conversion events to measure campaigns and improve advertising, subject to your consent choices and the services actually enabled on the site.

04

Messages you send

If you email admin@temnik.com, the message may include your email address, name or signature, message text, attachments, and technical email metadata. This information is used to read and respond to your correspondence and to maintain a reasonable record of the exchange.

3. How book-download measurement works

temnik.com links to book files hosted on Zenodo. The site may record a click on either the EPUB or PDF download button as one book-download-intent event. The selected format may be stored as a parameter.

Equal measurement of the two formats

A click on EPUB and a click on PDF have the same conversion value for advertising measurement. The format is retained only so aggregate reporting can distinguish which file type visitors chose.

This measurement confirms a click from temnik.com to the external file. It does not prove that the file transfer completed, that the file was opened, or that the book was read.

4. Cookies and your choices

The site uses essential cookies needed for operation and security. Optional analytics and advertising cookies are controlled through the cookie settings interface.

Essential

Used for security, site delivery, and saving technical choices required for the site to function. These are always active where required for operation.

Analytics

Allows measurement of visits and interactions, including book-download button clicks, so site use can be understood in aggregate.

Advertising

Allows advertising platforms to measure campaign performance and attribute book-download button clicks to advertising interactions.

You can change your choice later through the Cookie settings link in the footer.

5. Services used for measurement

Google Analytics and Google Ads

When the relevant services are enabled and your consent permits the processing, Google may receive information from the site for analytics, conversion measurement, and advertising. Depending on the configuration and your choices, this can include the page URL, IP address, browser or device information, cookie or advertising identifiers, referral and ad-click information, and site events.

When Meta Pixel is enabled and your advertising-cookie choice permits it, Meta may receive information about visits and selected site events, including the book-download event and the selected file format. Meta may use information received through its business tools for measurement, security, and advertising according to its own policies and your Meta settings.

6. Hosting and external services

This site is built and hosted using Tilda. Tilda and its infrastructure may process technical data needed to operate and protect published pages.

Book files are provided through Zenodo. Social networks, support platforms, Creative Commons, and other outbound links lead to independent third-party services. Once you follow an external link, that service's privacy policy and settings govern its own processing.

7. Purposes of processing

  • Operate and secure the site.Deliver pages, maintain technical functionality, and protect against abuse or attacks.
  • Understand site use.Measure visits and interactions when analytics consent is active.
  • Measure advertising.Understand which campaigns lead to book-download button clicks when advertising consent is active.
  • Improve the site.Use aggregated results to improve navigation, presentation, and the path to the book.
  • Respond to correspondence.Read and respond to letters, proposals, privacy requests, and other messages sent to admin@temnik.com.

8. Retention and international processing

Technical, analytics, and advertising information may be stored by Tilda, Google, Meta, and other service providers according to their own retention rules and the settings of the accounts used by temnik.com. Retention settings may be changed as the measurement configuration evolves.

These providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their own privacy policies describe the safeguards and legal mechanisms they use for such processing.

Email correspondence sent to admin@temnik.com may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain continuity of the conversation, resolve a request, or keep an appropriate record of project correspondence. Applicable legal obligations may require longer retention in specific cases.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

You can reject optional cookies or change your cookie settings at any time. Where applicable law gives you additional privacy rights, those rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent.

Advertising platforms also provide their own privacy and advertising controls. Changing site-level cookie choices affects future optional tracking from temnik.com; it does not automatically erase information already held by an independent provider.

10. Current site scope and changes to this policy

The current prepared temnik.com pages do not include user accounts, checkout, or a contact form. Direct correspondence is available by email at admin@temnik.com. If the site later adds forms, accounts, purchases, newsletters, or materially different tracking, this policy will be updated to describe those new activities.

This policy may also be updated when the site's analytics, advertising, hosting, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current published version.

Questions about the policy?
